COONAPIP Chiefs Bring Indigenous Proposals to Panama's Presidential Platform

Yesterday, the leaders of the National Coordinating Committee of indigenous Peoples of Panama (COONAPIP) chaired by Embera Chief Candido Mezua and other Panamanian Indigenous leaders met with Chief Phil Lane Jr. and his Four Worlds Foundation Team.

After the strategy meeting with COONAPIP, Chief Lane invited his fellow chiefs for a historic lunch and a frank and animated discussion with the Vice-Presidential Candidate for the PRD Party, Mr. Gerardo Solis, where the Chiefs presented their proposals for the PRD Presidential Platform . This was the first time COONAPIP has been invited to provide their input directly into a Presidential Platform in Panama's history!

More meetings are scheduled with other Panamanian Indigenous Leaders to provide their input. In the final analysis, with unity, the 500,00 Indigenous Peoples of Panama ( Panama has 3 Million People) have the collective votes to decide who will be the next President of Panama. Whatever President and their Party stands with the Agenda of the Indigenous Peoples of Panama will receive their tie-breaking votes! (Translated by Bing from Spanaish)
