I want to clear up some "false news." One of my very respected nephews came to me with a deep concern about our Indigenous Community honoring Dr. King. This was because of what he had seen on Social Media connecting Dr. King with the well-known Rothchild Banking Family from Frankfort, Germany, and other vile insinuations.
There are more than 70,000 families with the name Rothchild, most living in the United States. Rabbi Jacob Rothchild has no connection to the European Rothchild Banking Family. Rabbi Rothchild's Temple was bombed because of his stand for racial equality. If you have heard other contrary stories this is the actual reality of the relationship between Rabbi Rothchild and Dr. King.
I am not surprised to hear such "false news." For as our Elders say, " When the cry of truth is raised, so is the cry of denial!" On a positive note, there must be a lot of truth-telling going on because there is sure is an ocean of false news surrounding us.
