Cleanse our eyes, O Creator, so that we may behold no one as different from ourselves. Let us see no strangers. Let us see all people as friends, relatives, and members of one Human Family, for love and unity become difficult when we fix our gaze upon otherness.
In this new and wondrous age, we must learn to be at one with all people. We must not look upon one another through the eyes of harshness or injustice, malevolence or hostility, hatred or fear. Rather, we must turn our eyes toward the heaven of ancient glory, toward the eternal light of Wakan Tanka, the Great Mystery, our Beloved Creator, the Maker of All Good Things.
For each being is a sacred sign of our Creator. Each soul has come into this world through the grace, mercy, and power of Wakan Tanka. Therefore, we are not strangers, but family. We are not aliens, but friends. We are relatives in the great circle of life, and we must treat one another as such.
