With my beloved Tankshi Faith Spotted Eagle, January 15, at the Protect the Sacred Wopida, Fort Randall, Ihanktonwan Nation Territories. We celebrated our unbroken Peace Treaty, of January 23, 1863, between the Ihanktonwan Nation and the Pawnee Nation, signed by six itȟáŋčhaŋ's of each Nation.
This Indigenous Treaty was the inspiration for the first contemporary Treaty signed between Indigenous Nations, the International Treaty to Protect the Sacred from Tar Sands Projects. This International Treaty was signed at the conclusion of the Protect the Sacred Gathering January 23-25, 2013, Ft Randall, Ihanktonwan Nation.
