Carrying the Global Torch of Compassion to the Peace and Dignity Journey

Leaving Vancouver Airport for Panama City, Panama via San Francisco!

I am now leaving Vancouver, with the Global Torch of Compassion, on my way to the Closing Ceremonies of the 7th Peace and Dignity Journey in Kuna Yala, (Panama) via San Francisco. After traveling through the night, I am scheduled to arrive at 11 AM , November 16 in Panama City.

The 7th Peace and Dignity Journey (PDJ) arrived in Panama City, Panama, November 14, after a Seven Month Run covering 10,000 miles. The PDJ runners start simultaneously from both ends of Abya Yala (The Americas) from Chickaloon, Alaska, and Tierra del Fuego, Argentina traversing from an Indigenous community to an Indigenous community on foot. They have now joined for a Final Ceremony of Thanksgiving in Kuna Yala (Panama).

Since 1992, every four years, the Runners of Peace and Dignity have run 70,000 miles dedicated to reuniting the Condor, the Quetzal, and the Eagle and protecting and restoring Mother Earth.

The 2016 run, dedicated to seeds, is living prayer to honor and preserve the sacredness of our seeds that give food, medicine, and life.

My current Journey started on Friday, October 28 when I traveled from Vancouver to Los Angeles to join Protectors of Mother Earth for a Sacred Ceremony dedicated to stopping the San Onofre Nuclear Waste Disposal Plan scheduled for June 2017! Our collective prayers were spiritually powerful and unifying!

I also had a very good time being with my daughter, Lisa Brown Jordan, her husband Tony Jordan, and my grandchildren. Alana Jordan,Alexander Jordan and Avery Jordan. I Also, had a great time visiting with relatives, Gary Christmas, Anderson, Helen Samuels, Neal Golden, Alison Jones Agins, Sande Hart, Laura Lafoia Ava-Tesimale, Brian D Hardin, Lauri Taylor, Victoria MacBain. Maura Fallon. Alokananda, Paul L Vasquez, Edilma Avendano, Wendy Grover, Charles Langley, Robert Pope, and other dear relatives!

My travel plans unexpectedly changed from returning home on, Wednesday, November 2nd to going from Los Angeles to Marrakesh, Morocco via Newark, New Jersey, and Lisbon, Portugal for a Ceremony to light the Global Compassion Torch with HH Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al Nuaimi.

The Global Torch of Compassion Journey then continued back to Vancouver via Frankfurt, Germany on US Election Day, November 8. It was very spiritually and physically uplifting to be with my beloved wife and son and sleep in my bed!

The next morning Tiger Nathan, Suthida and I carried the Global Torch of Compassion to the National Conference of the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) where the AISES Council of Elders blessed the Global Torch of Compassion, the National Students joined the Global Compassion Games.

At the AISES Closing Ceremonies and Banquet, AISES was formally recognized by Compassion Games International as a "Global Champion of Compassion!"
