Because the Bhutanese and the Thais have never been colonized, they do not hate white people. In fact, they are honored when people from other cultures, including Europeans, want to understand thier Buddhist spiritual teachings.

An excellent example is Ajahn Jayasāro, who came to Thailand as a young man and became a monk. He is very revered in the Buddhist world.

One of his spiritual processes was to meditate and pray in a totally black cave for a year, similar to our Mamo relatives in Columbia, except a Mamo spends years in a black from the time they enter into the physical world of time and space.

Since I first came to Thailand in 1990 and later Bhutan, I have found that Buddhists have a similar spiritual understanding as the Indigenous peoples of the Americas, while our social and cultural practices may appear different outwardly. The reality is the Great Mystery, Wakan Tankan, our Creator, God, the Holy Spirit, and thier Manifestations come from the same Source.
