Yesterday, November 1, 2023, our beloved brother, Sheikh Abdul Aziz (The Green Sheikh), facilitated the ignition of an Eighth Fire in the Desert of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Ashes were brought from the Eighth Fire Ceremony on October 28,2023, in Hidalgo, Mexico. The ashes were carried to the UAE by sister Alenka Slavinec from Mexico via Slovenia, who also took these beautiful photographs.
Their evening, our morning, December 2, the Eighth Fire was ignited in the hearts of our relatives attending COP 28 in Dubai. On December 22, the Eighth Fire will be ignited on the Sacred Lands of the Salish Nation! This will be on the last day of Enlightening Our Way Together, December 16-22, 2023.
