War cannot be eliminated by banning specific weapons or conflicts. These measures are essential but do not address the underlying causes of war. Human Beings are clever enough to invent new ways of fighting and gaining power over others.
Leaders worldwide recognize the global nature of the problem. Various groups and the United Nations propose studies and solutions to address these issues.
However, there is a lack of will to take action. It stems from a belief that conflicts are inevitable and a fear of subordinating national interests for world unity. It is also due to the inability of many members of our Human Family to express their desire for a peaceful world.
Despite these challenges, there has been positive progress toward world peace since World War I. Groups of nations have formed alliances and organizations to cooperate on shared interests, which paves the way for global unity.
In addition, despite its flaws, the United Nations has adopted numerous declarations and conventions that give hope to those being treated unjustly. These measures address human rights, genocide, discrimination, torture, hunger, and unethical "scientific progress."
For instance, across the Americas, there is an Indigenous spiritual movement that has been unfolding since 1970. As a result, a "Hoop of Many Hoops" is being born, as foretold by Black Elk.
After 454 years, the Prophecy of the Reunion of the Condor and Eagle was fulfilled at the Island of the Sun at Lake Titicaca on July 9, 1971. This spiritual process began on March 21, 2070.
This Prophecy shares that once the Condor and Eagle unite, as prophecied that the Indigenous peoples of the Americas would reunite. In this process, all members of our Human Family would awaken to the spiritual reality that we are One Human Family intimately related to all Life.
On March 21, 2023, in Palenque, Chiapas, Mexico, the Union of the Condor, Hummingbird, Quetzal, and Eagle was established 52 years after the Prophecy of the Reunion of Condor and Eagle was fulfilled in Bolivia. The Governing Council of the Union has 13 members, seven women and six men, and female and male co-chairs.
This "unity" movement across the Americas and beyond is dedicated to unifying Indigenous peoples and our Human Family and working in unity with others with a similar vision and calling to create a New Global Civilization based on justice and peace on Mother Earth. It is elected every year on Equinox, March 21, and will meet in Palenque for the next three years.
Many other movements are dedicated to Peace on Earth and related issues. Slowly but surely, all these movements are meeting and uniting!
Racism is a significant obstacle to peace and must be universally condemned. The vast gap between the rich and the poor also leads to instability and war. Addressing this requires spiritual, moral, and practical approaches, involving experts from various fields and including the affected people in decision-making processes. Unbridled nationalism should give way to a broader loyalty toward humanity.
Religious conflicts have caused countless wars and must be addressed through dialogue and mutual understanding. Furthermore, achieving gender equality is crucial for peace, as denying such equality promotes harmful attitudes and habits.
Culturally respectful, universal education, prioritizing the education of women and girls, is vital for advancing our Human Family. Furthermore, improving communication between people, possibly through an international auxiliary language, can also contribute to peace.
Ending war goes beyond signing treaties; it requires a commitment to resolving issues beyond pursuing peace. Spiritual principles and human values play a crucial role in solving social problems. More than practical knowledge is required.
Understanding and applying these principles lead to lasting solutions. Therefore, leaders should seek to identify these principles and be guided by them in their efforts to solve the challenges being faced by our Human Family.
Overall, achieving world peace requires addressing the root causes of war, such as racism, inequality, genocide, nationalism, intergenerational trauma, colonialism, religious strife, and lack of communication.
Therefore, during our Human family's most significant challenges, let us work together toward a peaceful and harmonious world by embracing spiritual principles and a global perspective.
