Wonderful to be with my brother "He Who Kills the Grizzly Bear", Wilfred Tomma, son Rueben and Tonska Derrick at the Little Shuswap Pow Wow! I asked my Shuswap brother Wilfred, many years ago, that if he found a dead Wild White Swan in his Traditional Territory, as ours were wiped out at White Swan, on the Ihanktowan Nation, that I would a appreciate a wing.
After this prayerful request Wilfred's Uncle, just before his death, had a Wild White Swan fall dead, in the woods, at his feet, where he was walking. Will's Uncle gave brother Wilfred, the Swan. Brother Will gave one wing to his wife and in an unexpected Ceremony, gave me the other Wing. So many stories to tell, but time is very, very short!
