Brother Michael, Grandson Hudson and I getting ready to go to the Vancouver Friendship Centre to attend a Pipe Ceremony in prayerful support of all our homeless relatives on East Hastings, our extended families, as well as, any Members of our Human Family who are suffering from injustice, physical and spiritual poverty, violence, ill-health, and oppression. Especially, womenkind and children. This includes our Mother Earth and All Life, as we are all related, and the Hurt of One is the Hurt of All.
The Ceremony was wonderfully facilitated by Tonska Curtis and Chaske Rueben and Sun Dance Family. Great sacred and uplifting songs were shared by Koda Darcy and the Oceanside Dakota Drum. And of course, topped off by a wonderful traditional feast.
I knew my healing was unfolding when my feet begin to slowly move when Koda Darcy and Oceanside begin to sing some of my favorite Sun Dance Songs. And they continued to move stronger and stronger to the beat.
LOL. Then, I remembered to take it easy, be patient, take good care of my healing and, who knows, I may have a few more Sun Dances left in me. Time will tell.
It was wonderful to experience 22 Pipe Carriers and many beloved ones come together in spiritual unity and prayer, one heart and one mind, in many bodies. Everyone experiencing together that the center of the universe is everywhere.
