A Night in Bangkok Before the February Elections

Sitting on the roof top of my hotel in the heart of Bangkok. Because of reduced traffic the air is clean of most pollution and while it is dark and 9 PM, the light of 12 Million people reflects into the sky like a blue canopy! Quietly visited two of the main protest camps by Sky Train at Asoke and Chitlom. The Sky Train was full, traffic was moving, but not nearly as heavy as it was on my last trip. The number of westerners was very noticeably reduced, as well! There is an undercurrent and foreboding building toward February 2nd, when heavily opposed elections are scheduled to occur. Time will tell. Again your prayers for protection, healing, understanding and compassion for all concerned are greatly appreciated. http://www.bangkokpost.com/news/bangkok-shutdown/391743/pdrc-rules-out-police-led-negotiations-to-end-protests
