A Father's Welcome Home After a Long Zuya

Walking home from my first Aquafit class at the South Surrey Pool. About 60 elder women and 6 elder men. I can see why women live longer men.

While we exercised they played music from the 60’s like the Peppermint Twist and Elvis tunes. It brought me back to the Peppermint Lounge in New York City in September 1962.

My old friend from High School, hitchhiked there at the beginning of a journey nine months into Europe, Denmark, East and West Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, France, back to East and West Germany.

From Germany we had a great experience in England, Scotland, Iceland and back to New York in June, 1963.

I was out of the New Jersey airport just before Sunrise, I stepped on the Highway and put my thumb out to Walla Walla and I never stopped until I was walking down the road to our old house on Mill Creek, East of Walla Walla.

My father was mowing the lawn. This is an example Divine Love.

My Dear Father saw his beloved son coming home after a long Zuya and coming of age 😀.

As he quietly walked to me with his beautiful smile and old Tony Boots. The love that was flowing and still is flowing.

He gently shook my hand, hugged and quietly walked in my ear, “Good to see you my son. “

This Love 💕 is unconditional! It was a great relief to my soul as those days were truly wild, including spending a night in the Munich Jail and another in Barcelona, Spain.

Both are great stories, and I enjoy every moment o this coming of age ceremony and learning journey, look back back, as I move into my 80’s.

Have a great day!
