A Destined Meeting Near the Sacred Mekong River

Wakan Tanka is the Most Mysterious One.

Both my Tonska Wayne and I intuitively knew our spirits would intertwine, our spiritual forces uniting in harmony, even though we have never conversed or met in this physical realm of time and space. We knew our meeting was destined, but the when and where, was a mystery.

Yet, even more mysteriously, two months ago, as my health waned and my right wheel was damaged, I never envisioned returning to Southeast Asia.

Now, here I am, near the sacred Mekong River, the border between Laos and Thailand. Tomorrow, we shall meet, singing songs and sharing prayers for the unity of our Human Family.

Wayne William Snellgrove of Fishing Lake First Nation, with long dark hair, a bone choker and turquoise cuff, speaks in a room. Overlaid quote: our strength is staying in the now, especially in fear, where Spirit is found.
