In 1975, we traveled from the United Indians of All Tribes Foundation to the Sweat House Lodge, in Corvallis, Oregon to learn from Cree Elders, Eddie Belrose, and Abe Burnstick, where the Sweat Lodge was first used to help Alcoholism.
They also shared about Talking Circles and Prophecies. One of their prophecies described the coming of the Internet, in detail. At the time we did not know what they were talking about. How could look in front of you and see and speak with another Human Being on the other side of Mother Earth, etc.
They shared with us that when this happens, everything that has been covered up will be uncovered. When this Springtime comes, everything that has been covered up by the white snow will be uncovered.
It is also important to remember, as tough as it, that only colonized people, colonized people, only abused people, abuse people, and only hurt people, hurt people!
And only love and compassion can heal hatred and insensitivity. I have found this to be true, but a very difficult challenge. But until we fully understand the Prior Unity and Oneness of our Human Family the Hurt of One is the Hurt of all and the Healing of One is the Healing of All, there will be no peace.
Hatred only begets hatred, violence only begets violence, and killing and war, only beget killing and war.
